Living along side hundreds of miles of wilderness, I have always had the pleasure to travel to places very few had ever seen. Anxious to get to their destination before dark, "Scout" depicts a boy leading the way to the next lake while his father follows portaging a canoe. The idea came to me when I saw a poster from the World War I era of a soldier leading his troops forward into battle.
